Bob,
This huge, spectacular Kunamokst Mural was unveiled recently on Galiano Island, at the Galiano Oceanfront Inn and Spa, in British Columbia, Canada. The mural takes up one entire side of the building.
For over a year, 190 of the West Coast’s finest artists have collaborated to create a stunning 12-foot x 21-foot mural. The artists were given a 12" x 12" panel, and were instructed to paint West Coast life, with the only guideline being to follow the general colour palette and tone of the panel they were given. The mural is comprised of 231 ORIGINAL paintings. There are no digital effects. The artists did not know each other and NO ONE had any idea of what the final image would be.... until the unveiling. … a beautiful orca and her calf!
You can click on each of the tiles to see them in detail.
