Bruce Short Scope Experience

September 27, 2004

Dear Bob,

In September we anchored at Mittelnatch Island on a calm clear day. The water was so clear that we could actually watch our Bruce anchor deploy, hit the bottom in about 20 feet, flip over, bite, and bury itself. This was startling because we were on only about 2:1 scope (we later paid out more rode to our normal 3:1).
