Sucia Island: New Dock in Fossil Bay

Waggoner Correspondents Bruce and Margaret Evertz were at Sucia and found a new float and ramp in Fossil Bay.

The western of the two was replaced last winter and it's all new with steel pilings and a big separate dinghy dock. The best news is that “the ramp” is wheelchair accessible. It's in two segments so the angle is always shallow enough for a person in a chair. Because it's longer than the old I suspect the water is deeper around the floats now.

The grounds around the dock are accessible too with crushed rock pathways.
