PIERRE’S BAY MARINA SUMMER AGENDA

April 25, 2007. Pierre’s Bay is one of several popular marinas in the Broughtons, the cruising ground that’s the new hot spot for Northwest boaters. Pierre Landry and his wife Tove (pronounced “Tova”) are the owners, and they have created quite a place there. Here’s what’s planned for this summer.

Welcome to Pierre’s Bay 2007 !!!

Hi everyone! We just wanted to give you heads up on our new 2007 summer agenda. It is now posted on our website: www.pierresbay.com. Click on Summer Schedule.

Pig Roasts~ Just to give you heads up: Pierre BBQ's the pig - and the lodge will provide a couple of side dishes. Our boating guests also bring a side or main dish appropriate to the number of people on board. All the food is set up on a big table under the tent. We try to have the pig done by 6:00pm.... and we all eat together like one happy family. Also, we have happy hour every night at 5:00. Pot Luck Hors d'oeuvres. Pig roast $15 per adult. Children under 12 free.

More on Pig Roasts:If you want to attend a Pig Roast, please plan to arrive in Pierre’s Bay on Fri., the day before the event. We take reservations for the day before a Pig Roast, not the actual day of the event (Sat.). Thanks. (We have started taking reservations.)

First time guests: Pierre’s Bayaccepts VISA; Cdn cash; U.S. cash; Cdn cheque; U.S. cheque; Traveller’s Cheques. We’re not set up for the multitude of credit cards that exist in this world. Maybe that’s part of the charm of the wilderness – it’s not like the city! U.S. friends, please let your credit card company know, before you begin your cruise, that you will be using it in Canada. Canadian friends, please let your credit card co. know that you’ll be using it outside the city you normally do. Thanks.

Early birds heading to Alaska, please be aware that the marina is open all year ‘round. Lady Di of the Lighthouse Bakery will be taking bakery orders from May 24th on!

Like to stop and smell the roses – or paint? Pierre could use a hand with a bit of painting during the months of May and June – in exchange for free moorage. Such a deal! He might need a hand with banging a nail or two, also. Thank you all! You’re wonderful. Contact: info@pierresbay.com

Like to fly some guests in? Kenmore will have daily scheduled service to Pierre’s Bay May – Sept. www.kenmoreair.com. North West Seaplanes have a page on their website dedicated to Pierre’s Bay Lodge & Marina Click on http://www.nwseaplanes.com/flights-to-pierres-bay-bc.cfm. Starting up June 15th; operating until Sept. 6th this year.

Effective Jan. 23/07, a current passport will be required for all persons traveling by scheduled air carrier between the U.S. and Canada, regardless of the traveler’s citizenship or age. For more info: http://travel.state.gov.

Wishing you the very best!
