Just a quick note to thank you for introducing us to Quarterdeck Marina in Port Hardy. While returning our boat from Alaska we developed transmission problems and a persistent sea water leak. After discovering your write-up of Quarterdeck Marine we elected to divert to their facility for repairs. They had a travellift and mechanic waiting for us when we arrived, coordinated all repair activity and promptly had us underway. The harbor is a bit crowded, but the service and availability of parts and supplies can't be beat.
 Thanks again,
 Dan, Robin, and Ben Riker

I am impressed at the quality of repair service throughout the Northwest cruising area. The large commercial and pleasure marine fleets in Puget Sound and B.C.'s lower mainland (including the southern part of Vancouver Island) assures that parts and technical help are readily available. Away from the population centers, the need to keep marine, logging, mining, agricultural and transportation equipment running has created service facilities with people skilled in all trades, and good inventories of parts and equipment, even in the wilderness. Quarterdeck Marina in Port Hardy is a fine example of what I mean. They're good people, aren't they?
