DIGITAL CAMERA TO THE RESCUE
By Bob Hale

August 26, 2004. This comes from a very smart lady we know, who lives aboard her 37-foot pilothouse powerboat in San Diego. The boat is vastly overpowered, and the big V-8 diesel takes up the entire -- and she means entire -- engine room space. She needed to know how something was assembled back in a dark corner, but couldn't fit her head into the area to have a view. So she reached down with an inexpensive ($99) point-and-shoot digital camera and took a flash picture. Voila! the picture, loaded into the computer, told her what she needed to know. Excellent idea.
